I am a dreamer at heart. There is nothing that gets me more excited that when I start moving towards a dream. On the same note, watching others live their dreams is addictive. It is my drug of choice. Consider me your pusher and watch all your dreams come true.

What happens when you take control of your finances, but the other people in your life continue to struggle? I’ve heard this question from two people lately. During the Q&A of my talk at the library last Saturday, one audience member asked:
When Carrie told us about Bob’s steel cut oats for breakfast, I went out and bought a package. I love oatmeal, I think of it as the ultimate comfort food. And yet in my case it may be a shadow comfort. I wanted to feel virtuous that I was putting good food into my body.
There are a multitude of alternative health therapies that you can put on or into your body, but what about sweeping away negative energy for better health?

Sorry for the swearing, but I was at an exhibition of activist art from the 1960s and I saw this poster. I believe the boy in the picture is burning his draft card.
What struck me is the fact that this boy doesn't look like a hippie or an activist or anyone at all who would get involved in politics or cultural change (what does such a person look like?).
“This is about structure,” the therapist said.
I’m sitting across from her because my husband found me sobbing into the carpet of my home office, again, some more. She’s sitting there because I’ve reached the point, now, where I need to pay people to listen to me.
“I thought this was about huge, huge amounts of anti-depressants.”
By Nora DunnMore and more couples are deciding that having a family is not for them (others yet waiting longer to take the plunge), many citing their finances and a higher cost of living as a reason. While I believe that those who really want kids will always find a way to afford it, there may be some truth to this premise.
