Last Monday, we announced the first ever Art of Manliness Man of the Year Award. Until November 9, we’ll be taking nominations. Voting will open to readers November 24. Grand prize is $2,000. Remember you can nominate ANY man. We’re looking to honor the average guy who represents what’s best in manliness.

As I’m writing this, I’m waiting for a video conference call to start. It was scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m., but it’s 10:30 a.m. and the call hasn’t happened.

I moved to a new city recently.
This is not a big surprise. In the last ten years, I moved to a new city five times. The recent move, however, involved the desire for a man.
Love uprooted me the first time when I was 20. I left home for San Francisco to be with my boyfriend. It was très romantique.
